MyGene Molecular Diagnostics is a new laboratory established in 2018 by Dr Marina L Georgiou. The laboratory offers diagnostic analysis providing fast and accurate results. Using CE-IVD and FDA approved real-time PCR machine and reagents the laboratory aims to provide diagnosis across international standards. Quantitative real-time PCR is a valuable technology used for diagnostics of genetic disorders, cancer and the detection of infectious diseases caused by bacterial, fungal and viral pathogens.

Our Lab is accredited by Cyprus Ministry of Health
for the molecular detection of COVID19 virus using
the PCR method and we are able to provide SAME
DAY results. No appointments needed.

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)

Cervical cancer (CC) is one of the most widely spread
malignancies that ranks second among gynaecological
cancers. The viral nature of this cancer is recognised by
the World Health Organisation (WHO) and human
papillomavirus (HPV) is detected in almost 100% of cases.
HPV genotypes are subdivided into High-risk and Low-risk
types based on the ability to cause cancer.

STDs are infections that are passed from one person
